Biography
Sam Heughan is a Scottish actor best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in the hit television series Outlander. His portrayal of the brave Highland warrior won him international fame, earning praise for his charisma, emotional depth, and authenticity.
Heughan studied drama at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and began his career in theatre, performing in several plays including Outlying Islands, The Vortex, and Romeo and Juliet. Before Outlander, he appeared in various British TV series such as Doctors, River City, and Any Human Heart.
In 2014, he landed the role of Jamie Fraser in Outlander, a performance that became a cultural phenomenon. The show’s global success turned Heughan into a household name and established him as one of television’s most respected actors. Beyond Outlander, he’s starred in films such as The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018), Bloodshot (2020), and Love Again (2023).
Outside acting, Sam is also a philanthropist and co-founder of the global charity fitness movement My Peak Challenge, which encourages people to improve their health while raising funds for worthy causes. He’s also an author, having co-written Clanlands and Waypoints, both of which explore his love for Scotland and adventure.
